Funny and cute things the kids say ...

Tim had 2 tickets for the Warriors game Friday night. So one boy got to go to the game with him while the other would get to go to Lincoln Lopez's house to play. We let the boys choose. First they both wanted to go to Lincoln's house! Then they decided that Miles would go to the game with Tim and Caden would go to Lincoln's. Caden said the prayer that night. He said "Thank you dad can go to work, thank you that Miles can go to school, and thank you that I can go to Lincoln's house." We were all busting up laughing during the prayer.

Miles was at a high school football game with Tim. One of the players had tattoos on both of his arms. Miles thought that was cool (oh great!) and told Tim that he wanted a tattoo. Tim asked him what kind of tattoo he would want and Miles replied with "SpongeBob."

Tonight for dinner I made turkey broccoli casserole with rice. The boys always say that I make gross dinners, but tonight Miles added that "This dinner is worse than school lunch."

Tim took the boys to another football game friday night. This time it was the Concord Minutemen vs. the Dublin Gaels. So this time, Caden thought the "Minimen" were playing against the "Girls."

Last Friday, Tim took the boys to the high school football game that he was covering for the newspaper. The teams playing were the Northgate Broncos vs. the Concord Minutemen. They got to stand on the sidelines and watch the game. Caden thought it was really cool. The next day I was asking Caden about the game. I asked him if he remembered what teams played. He said, "the Boncos and the Minimen!"

Caden is learning to count. He can count to 29 with a little help (but he somehow manages to skip 16 everytime). He gets to 29 and says twenty-ten, For 30. And does the same for the rest of the numbers.
Thirty-Ten = 40
Fourty-Ten = 50
Fifty-Ten = 60
and so on.

Tim and I went out with some friends on their boats. The boys went to the babysitter's house. After we picked them up we were telling them about how Tim got flipped around on all the different tubes. Miles said "So dad, there was 2 people on the tube ... you and your KIDNEY STONE!!"

Just Because ...

She is so darn cute. Avery just turned 10 months. She has finally started to grow up! (which also makes me a little sad since she is our last). She can now sit up on her own. She LOVES table food. Rice, beans, mac & cheese are some of her favorites. She is figuring out how to crawl. She is up on her hands and knees and rocks but hasn't figured out how to move her hands forward yet. I'm sure she will figure it out very soon. I could not decide which pictures were my favorites, so here are a bunch of our quickly growing baby girl.

Chocolate Monsters

Last Sunday, Tim's parents brought chocolate cupcakes over for dessert. Avery LOVED the chocolate frosting. We decided it was good practice for her first birthday party coming up in 3 short months.

Later that night Alexandra started eating the cupcakes and this is her mess. She has got great facial "hair" growing.

Patriots (Caden's All-Star team)

Our regular baseball season has come to an end. It actually went by fast. However, Caden is on a traveling All-Star baseball team this year. They are traveling throughout Northern CA and playing other teams from Northern CA. He is one of two 6 year-olds on a team with 7 & 8 year-olds. They had their first tournament in Pittsburg. They won their first 2 games, but lost the next 2. Tim is the team manager. These are a few pictures from the second game in Pittsburg.

Little Flirt

We put the 3 babies in bed together one morning on our girls trip. Avery was putting the moves on Andrew (left) and Jackson (right) at the same time. Should we be worried about our little girl being a flirt??

New Toy

Tim bought me a Canon Digital Rebel XTI Camera this week for Mothers day. (Thanks Jessica!) It have wanted one for years but they are quite expensive. (And I am a cheapskate.) It came in the mail on Thursday and I was ready to play with it. We went to the park and the boy's baseball games that night and tried it out. I have a lot to learn but I love it.

Quick Vegas Trip

We drove down to Vegas the Saturday before Easter. My cousin Josh had just returned from his mission 2 days before, and my Aunt was throwing a welcome home party AND and surprise 50th Birthday for my Uncle Russ. No one knew we were coming except my cousin Justin, his wife Roseann, and my mom. Everyone was surprised! My Grandma and Grandpa McDonald were there too. They hadn't seen Avery yet, just pictures. They were so happy to see her, and the rest of the kids. It was a good but quick trip. We left Saturday and came back Monday night. And yes, we drove!
